Being Set Free from Pain

Pain is a part of life. We all experience pain from time to time but have you ever tried to live with perpetual pain? It’s the sort of pain that ebbs and flows in radiating waves throughout the entire day. Until last year, I couldn’t have recalled what life was like without that constant, agonizing companion known as back pain. Because I have spent so much time at the computer without exercising, I left my body susceptible to damage over the years. It was so bad that I made an appointment with a Phoenix chiropractor out of sheer desperation. Over the counter pain killers didn’t have any sort of impact on it and after being unable to go hiking with during a date i realized that I was too young to have this kind of pain and that there must be some sort of relief out there for me.

Pain killers can only take you so far. There’s a danger that comes with establishing a tolerance to something that should be reserved for the rare moments when pain inflicts us. I had reached the point where I was beginning to take dangerous levels of ibuprofen and once that ceased to do anything for me, I knew there was no turning back. I was amazed at what my chiropractor was able to offer me in terms of therapy as I had no idea that they had such a diverse number of methods to apply. Everyone experiences and feels pain differently so it only makes sense that they respond to treatments differently, too. It has been months of constant therapy but I can finally hike like I used to, run as I once did and even swim again without feeling even the slightest twinge of pain. I feel like I’ve been set free from myself.
